A need exists for renewed thinking on how enterprise and entrepreneurship can support sustainable economic growth in South East Asia. The aim of this 2nd SEAITE Symposium is to address this key challenge: how might entrepreneurship education support socio-economic development in the 4.0 era? Enterprise and entrepreneurship are prominent in the education strategies of many governments, with the aim of producing graduates with the skills needed to engage with the workplaces of the future, either as employees or employers. If 4.0 heralds a new era of connectivity between computers and things then we must also consider the ways in which it will might impact upon the design and delivery of education; not just the content of education but also how education may be experienced in the 4.0 world. The symposium takes an open entrepreneurship laboratory approach. Through a combination of expert input and free and open debate, it aims to create contextualized, cutting edge, high impact and affordable transformational solutions for the delivery of entrepreneurship education 4.0 in South East Asia.
